SAP Named a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrants for “Financial Corporate Performance Management Solutions” and “Strategic Corporate Performance Management Solutions”

WALLDORF — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that it has been named a Leader in Gartner’s new Magic Quadrants focused on corporate performance management (CPM): “Magic Quadrant for Financial Corporate Performance Management Solutions”* and “Magic Quadrant for Strategic Corporate Performance Management Solutions.”**

Gartner recognized SAP as a Leader for its “ability to execute” and its “completeness of vision,” which includes market understanding; marketing strategy, sales strategy, product strategy, geographic strategy and vertical/industry strategy; business model; and innovation. SAP is one of only two vendors recognized as a Leader in both reports.

“We’re honored to be recognized again as a leading provider of solutions for all our customer’s performance management needs—financial and strategic,” said David Williams, vice president, Product Marketing, EPM & GRC, at SAP. “Customers around the globe value the breadth and depth of capabilities we deliver on premise through the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise solution as well as the innovations we are delivering through our new software-as-a-service offering, the SAP BusinessObjects Cloud solution.”

Gartner states, “Leaders provide mature offerings that meet market demand and have demonstrated the vision necessary to sustain their market position as requirements evolve. The hallmark of Leaders is that they focus on, and invest in, their offerings to the point where they lead the market and can affect its overall direction. As a result, Leaders can be vendors to watch as you try to understand how new market offerings might evolve.”

According to Gartner, financial corporate performance management solutions “support the office of finance’s accounting processes toward the financial close, as well as targeting improvements in management reporting and analysis and external financial reporting and disclosure.”

Further, strategic corporate performance management solutions “support the office of finance’s budgeting, planning and forecasting efforts. They also provide profitability modeling and strategy management capabilities. Ultimately, these solutions help CFOs and other business leaders orchestrate organizational performance and manage strategy in a more controlled and transparent manner.”
